DIY Indicating Drierite®

I wouldn’t say I’m “back,” but I’m here! I’m still working, but business is a little slower these days so I have a little time for the lab. This video exists because a fellow chemistry nerd and I were talking about desiccants and ended up talking about the popular commercial product Drierite®. He wondered how they might impregnate the cobalt chloride into the calcium sulfate. Right away, I had this idea. I also needed some motivation to start making videos again, so I refused to tell him!

As it turns out, this video happens to be released on his birthday! So, here’s my birthday present to you!

I really miss doing chemistry, so I’m trying to fit it in more. There are a few videos I filmed last summer before I started working that just need to be edited. Those are going to be prioritized so I can get more content on the channel. Despite my absense, people seem to be finding my videos. Some of them have way more views than I would have ever expected! So look for a few videos to trickle out over the next month or two. See you soon!
