Hexaamminenickel(II) Complexes

This is another video that was filmed last summer and it’s finally getting out now! I was really proud of this set of experiments, and pleased that my creative synthetic methods were as effective as I thought they’d be. Even the “failure” I experienced led to the construction of a makeshift desiccator that I’ve used a few times in the last year… and that’s with not doing much chemistry! I’m looking forward to getting back in the lab. Especially now that society has completely collapsed and I don’t have that pesky job getting in the way anymore! I am, however, working on my own company these days. So time in the lab is still hard to come by. I’m still filming, but the editing is where I have trouble finding the time. Still… I’m working on it!
